There was a time in my life when I felt invisible.

Not because I didn’t exist, but because I didn’t feel seen. I was over 400 pounds, overwhelmed, and trying to navigate life while raising four girls, pouring everything I had into everyone else, and slowly losing myself in the process.

But even in that place, something inside me knew there was more.

The Turning Point

My transformation did not start with a number on a scale. It started with a decision.

A decision to choose myself.A decision to fight for my health.A decision to become the woman my daughters needed to see.

Weight loss surgery was not the easy way out. It was the beginning of one of the hardest, most disciplined journeys of my life. I had to relearn everything, from how I ate to how I thought about myself.

Over time, I lost 225 pounds.

But what I gained was so much more.

Confidence. Strength. Identity. Purpose.

Becoming Someone I Never Thought I Could Be

As I started to see myself differently, I began stepping into spaces I never thought I belonged in.

I entered a pageant.

Not because I thought I would win, but because I wanted to prove to myself that I could stand on a stage and be seen without shrinking.

And I won.

That moment was not about a crown. It was about rewriting the narrative I had believed about myself for so long.

That I was not enough.

That I did not belong.

That I should stay small.

From there, doors I never imagined began to open.

Stepping Into Modeling

Modeling was never part of my plan. But neither was any part of this journey.

What started as a step outside of my comfort zone turned into a new path. I began walking in spaces that once felt completely out of reach. Spaces where confidence, presence, and identity mattered.

And for the first time, I was not hiding.

I was showing up fully as myself.

Not perfect. Not polished. Just real.

Building a Life Beyond the Transformation

While my outward transformation is what people often see first, the life I built behind it is what truly defines me.

I earned multiple college degrees.I wrote three books.I built a career while raising four daughters.

And through it all, I learned that transformation is not about becoming someone new. It is about becoming who you were always meant to be.

The Heart Behind It All: My Daughters

Everything I do comes back to my girls.

Especially my daughter Emery.

As a child with Down syndrome and autism, she experiences the world differently. And through her, I found a deeper purpose.

Advocating for inclusion became part of my journey in a way I never expected. I began speaking in schools, creating guidebooks for parents and teachers, and working to build spaces where children like Emery feel seen, supported, and included.

Because success means nothing if we are not creating a world where every child belongs.

What This Journey Has Taught Me

This journey has taught me that transformation is not linear. It is not easy. And it does not happen overnight.

It is messy. It is emotional. It requires discipline, patience, and the willingness to keep going even when it feels hard.

But it is worth it.

Because on the other side of that work is a version of you that you may not even recognize at first.

A version that is stronger, more confident, and more aligned with who you truly are.

More Than a Transformation

People often ask me how I did it.

How I lost the weight.

How I stepped into pageants.

How I started modeling.

But the better question is why.

I did it because I wanted more for my life.

I did it because my daughters were watching.

I did it because I refused to stay in a place that no longer served me.

This is not just a story about weight loss.

It is a story about growth.

About courage.

About choosing yourself, even when it feels uncomfortable.

Conclusion

I am still evolving.

Still growing.Still learning.

Still becoming.

But one thing I know for certain is this:

You are allowed to change your life.

You are allowed to take up space.

You are allowed to become someone you never thought you could be.

And if my story shows anything, it is that no matter where you start, your transformation is always possible.
